Fallen Birds is the work of Daniel Edwards and Rodman Edwards. All wild birds featured on Fallen Birds were found dead by us in our travels, or brought to us from someone who came across [or acquired] one in a similar manner. One pauses respectfully upon discovery of a grounded, motionless avian form, mindful of a life that endured weather and pollution in a seemingly effortless struggle to stay aloft. On occasion, we feel moved to memorialize the fallen birds we encounter. To the wingless, headless, lifeless: thank you for your flight.
